The benefits of stacking

Also took this one. Its my best yet, i was stoked when i saw it.
I thought i would post three shots showing different stages in the process as when i first started into this i didnt really understand what stacking did and how much it improves with the more you stack. Also wanted to show how much detail can then be brought up with processing later.
Im just a beginer , so what ive done here may not be up to par but maybe it will help some newbies like me better understand the process if you can see the effects in a simple way. Thanks all

Yea, stacking is all about increasing the Signal to Noise ratio. It is that which allows you to do the magic in Photoshop.

Yep stack as many as you can but just remember still choose your best images to be stacked correctly as just 1 poor image can ruin 20 good images.....your better of leaving it out and only stack the best ones.

Ive only just had my first go at stacking myself. Up until now i have let the dsi software do it for me. After doing it myself i regret not learning how to do it from the start as the dsi isnt as selective as it should be im afraid.ah well, live and learn . Ill have to try all objects again and stack myself. Will post comparisons if i can spot a big diff in quality.
