Hi guys
I tried to catch up the best from my Iris, now it takes a 3d effect, I think it's my best image :)
Taken from the dark site on Sibillini Mount (1600mt) on august, are 29 subs 720s@800iso with Taka BabyQ-Eos60Da_CDS-Avalon M-Uno mount, processed in Iris (the right software for this subject :P ) and refined with CS5.
Hope you like...thanks for visit and comments ;)

HOLY SMOKES! That has to be the most 3 dimensional image I have ever seen!

BRILLIANT work. That dust cloud to the left literally seems to be in front of everything else.

Very impressive, Elio! It's as if I'm peering through a curtain of space dust. Your dark site must get pretty cold

What an incredible area that is, nicely revealed Elio  It could be a little bit over smoothed  but a lovely image of some complex dust clouds all the same

Amazing image Elio!!

What all the others have said!!

At 1600 mtrs above sea level, ideal conditions for AP.

Cheers,

Justin.

Nice one Elio! Don't often see such a wide field rendition of the Iris. Looks great. A notch too smooth for my liking as well and composition is a little confusing. This is no doubt a tough target for a DSLR so you've done exceptionally well to bring out the dusty surrounds. Look forward to seeing more.

A spectacular result... I would not have picked this as a DSLR image as there are no spikes or artifacts.

Simply excellent. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks Lewis, yes the 3d effect I love of this image... ;)

Thanks Luiz!

Bob, 2nd is welcome as the 1st...thanks! ;)
it's hard to find the software for my next image, "cloudy" it could be at the moment :(

I love this cooled dslr, nothing to envy with colours ccd

Thanks Dave...don't worry the trip is free :D

Thanks Mike, I agree for the smooth you see , but I like the result achived, at the end it's a reflex :)

Yessss
Thanks Richard

Thanks Justin, yes the sky of "Forca Canapine" on Monti Sibillini is the right site, sin it's 100km from my house :(

Thanks Cam, yes, epic it's right, the "battle" to bring out the dust was hard

Thanks Jason!
The composition was made to keep dust clouds of Iris nebula as a cascade from the upper corner, the rest of darks companion are fallen into my "wide" focal lenght...sorry I disagrree for this, forgive me, you know how says ancient Latin? De gustibus not disputandum est
A great help for result is the short f ratio of my baby-fsq and the Avalon M-Uno mount (http://www.avalon-instruments.com/en/prodotto/m-uno-fast-reverse-eng/): with this I took 27 perfect subs of 720", nearly six hours, I don't waste a second of the darkness of that night (for us it was summer...), not even the noise of meridian flip

Thanks Peter for the kind words, proud you mistake a dslr for a ccd :D
I don't like artificial spikes, on the lens are a hiding place... imho ;)

Thanks Rob :)
In return I can see many beautiful works about South here in IIS, a good exchange isnt't it? ;)

cheers to all, my friends, and thanks again for many comments and likes :thanx:

See you soon

Hi Elio,
A great pic beautifully processed.
I think maybe it's a bit too smoothed -
I always like to keep a bit of noise in the pic but that's artistic license.
Those Baby Q's are great scopes.
You have professional looking results with a DSLR.

cheers
