Hi Guys,

Here's NGC6164/65. One of my fav planetaries and have been trying to get the red bits behind the stars lately. seems like the UHC-S filter does the job! :)

cheers.

Good one Eric,

Even though it has 2 ngc numbers its only one object?

Eric I love how you got the diffraction spike on the centre star.
Beautiful touch.

Well done.

Hi and thanks lester. The red glow from the LHS is NGC6145 and the other red glow is NGC6146.

The bright middle star splits 2 NGc's in half.

cheers.

Cheers Andrew. Before with my previous 3 vain scope, i was getting 6 diff spikes. I much prefer the 4.

Yes the UHCS really does well with this object. Good image there. Its MUCH more easier to image than see, It took Orion's 18 inch scope for me to see it and even then a filter was needed.

totally agree Scott. Most of the objects I have imaged besides the low mag ones, i don't see them at all. What i do is take random exposure shots around it until i catch something. hehe takes longer but it helps. planetary nebs? forget it in my 8" scope. :P
