Terzan 7+8

SPX350 F4.5, St10XME, Astrodon RGB filters.

Two more Terzans near to M55 in Sag, I only need Terz3+6 then I have the lot. Very strange clusters some dense and some loose. These two 12th mag objects are probably part of the Sag Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy. Terzan 7+8 are 74 and 86 klyrs away respectively and are obscured by lots of intervening dust.

Lovely captures John, the hallmark crispness of your OO scope is once again evident too, surprised more Aussies aren't buying them from Steve Massey, a few are but they deserve more consideration over the cheap Chinese imports I recon :thumbsup:

I liked them very much. One small, another loose. The photos are very interesting, with some faint and small galaxies in background. Congratulations !

I didn't know about those Terzan objects. I needed to change the catalog on CDC to found Terzan 7 and 8 near M 55. They are in my list of new objects to search... when the clouds go out!

Thanks for comments, collecting Terzans is quite addictive and these are only quick captures.

The quality of OrionOptics scopes still seems a best kept secret downunder, OO don't advertise enough owing to delivery costs this far from the UK although favourable exchange rates have made it worthwhile recently.

Near to T7 and 8 is another cluster Arp2 which looks similar but is not on many planetariums.

Yes, I found first Arp2. But only with more zoom those Terzans appeared. My 305mm has a good resolution, I hope I can register them.
They are anonymous and forgotten objects and just because this I appreciate them very much. There is beauty and mystery in them. :thumbsup:
