Thanks everyone. I knew I only had about five minutes between rising above the local trees and start of astronomical twilight from experience the night before, so threw a few minutes guided exposure and binning at it.
At least I can say I "saw" it. :)
Rick, I couldn't stay up that late again on the 3rd (Fri) night and hit the sack before 3am leaving it all tracking on the Rosette. :)
Hope you're all still having fun - looks like another stunner tonight!

Thanks Dave - yes, for the last 12 months I get much better Optus reception at Leyburn than I do at home now! Thought I may as well put it up as I had it.
Yes Greg, its not looking like this will be the year of the "great daytime comet" alas :sadeyes:
