Awhile back I removed my Ota from its forks to mount on a Azeq 6 Gt not happy with the new mount and want to refit the Ota to the forksWhat I am looking for is what procedures to get it back to factory alignment
It's a lx200

Thanks

Is it an LX200 GPS or a classic.
Provided the fork assembly has not been disassembled and the dec axis is still orthogonal to the RA axis all you will need to do is get the OTA orthogonal to the dec axis to remove what many call the cone error.
How you do this is dependent on whether it is a classic or a GPS.

Out of interest, in what way are you not happy with the AZEQ6? I have been considering a remount of my own scope on one.

The mount seams to have a mind of its own in Eq mode fine in Altz though so I will re mount the Ota to forks and go back to using a wedge

Goto not working, that sort of thing?

I do a 2 star set up then goto an object seams ok then goto next object and it is way off the go back to first object and is spot on
Other nights it will work fine
In Altz it works fine never a problem

Curious, wonder if it is peculiar to yours or a more general issue. Average goto in EQ mode would not bother me too much as one of the reasons I am considering remounting my scope is to be able to star hop with clutches released and then have an RA drive take over and keep it tracking when in EQ mode.
