Here's another one from last month at the house. GSO8" F/4 QHY8. Approx. 50x10min over 3 nights. Same nights I did M42 and M45 so same field issues. But the field looks a lot better than the two others. Go figure.
I have a bigger one here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/NGC2070_GSO8_HD.jpg) with nice details. :)

Hi Marc,
Great looking Tarantula photo.
Nice colour.
It's an object that I've also never been able to get a good photo of.

Thanks guys. I've just realised that maybe half of my subs had lost focus slightly so I might restack the LUM and get something a little sharper. I was very happy with the color balance but. It's a hard one to get right.
Very nice Marc. Your set up frames the scene beautifully. The spider is nestled amongst a web of stars and clusters, pretty cool. It would be good to see the corrected luminance with dud subs gone. Sometimes less is more, especially if the dud subs are softening the combined image. I feel the image could do with some more *umpf*, perhaps a touch more colour saturation would help, or if you want to get a little tricky use a warming filter as a brush to selective areas - http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/enhance-color/ Good work.
