Using the 'comet trails' feature of startrails software, created these nice looking star trails over the fields at ATCA, Narrabri.
The constellation of Orion is rising in the East, and the purplish streak at top left is from the colour of M42, the Orion Nebula.
The Moon was setting in the West (behind the shot) and provided beautiful light for the foreground grass and trees.
Each exposure was 25s with a Canon 6D, 24-70mm lens @ 43mm, f/2.8, ISO1600. Total exposure about 1.5 hours.
Also a typical star trails shot is attached.

Thanks for looking
