OK this is harder than any sale I have ever done , any time , any where .
No low ball offers will even be considered .

Here it is.

My Zeiss Telementor 2 , complete with original Styrofoam case , 'T' Mount , tripod , 2x CZJ eyepieces 16mm and 20mm ( these 2 alone go for over $500 ) 0.965inch and 1 1/4 inch adaptor so they can be used with the WO, 1 1/4 inch 99% Dielectric diagonal that is part of it .

The 1 1/4 diagonal is able to be used because I machined a M44 adaptor , ( don't ask me what that's worth to buy ) to be able to use 1 1/4 inch eyepieces .
Any 1 1/4 inch eyepiece can be used .
The original 0.965 Zeiss visual back is in the box .

Ok the views thru this 63mm f840mm refractor on the moon , double stars and planets are the best I have ever seen in ANY!!! scope under 100mm , Period !! , wait till you see the 1st 1/4 moon at 100x thru this scope :eyepop: . These are just so good !
Stars look like stars , Jupiter looks like Jupiter , etc , etc ,, the Germans make the best optics ever and when they made these nothing changed , if anyone remembers I sold my Takahashi FS60C because this scope gives better images , PERFECT !!! .

Here are 5 photos , I have many more , and if you are serious about this scope I will E/Mail them to you.

Do a google on these and you will see its no Bull what I am trying to say , they go for up to 4k usd , and this one is complete .
They are not seen for sale often , for a reason .
An Investment .

It will have to be couriered and I will package it my self , I don't trust OZ post with this scope .

I wont ask a price yet , but it will be reasonable if there is any interest in this classic CZJ scope I will sell to the right person .

Oh yes the mount is built like a German tank , sweet and strong , like the whole scope is .
One more thing , its in the condition you would expect for a scope of this calibre , almost perfect .

Oh yes , if you are reading this you know what it is .

( I hate to be doing this  )

Back in East Germany most schools had one of these. They got chucked out after 1990 when science education in schools was westernised (read: taken down a few notches). Astronomy wasn't part of the West German curriculum. I wonder where all those scopes ended up…

I'll offer $500 for sentimental reasons

Cheers

:help::screwy: :confused2: :D But no , go over to East Germany and grab 3-4 of these ( if you can find one ) , you could sell them and have a 3 month holiday ???? as well ?.

Oh Yea , that's right there is no East Germany any more  , but yes you are right Steffen , at least they taught proper Astronomy and Science in schools back then before the wall came down  , better than Australian schools even know about today ..
That's sad .
This is a piece of history , so well made that does not come up for sale very often , and I am not happy putting this on the market .
