I've done a reprocess of an image I got back in May, I'm really happy with it, I reckon its one of the best wide fields I've done so far.
Camera Sony SLT-A99V, with 50mm lens.
100x2min subs, ISO 800.
I had to do a bit of a crop as the edges weren't real pretty.
Please check out the large version here (http://www.astrobin.com/full/57087/?mod=none).
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Jo
PS The small version is real bad.

Yeah nice one, there looks to be a slight magenta fringing/hue so might be worth trying to reduce or eliminate that but still a great result.

Thanks a lot guys, Mike, yeah I was running the lens at f2 so there is a bit of CA and I always seem to have my pictures a bit to magenta, I'll see what I can do to fix if up.

Thanks, yeah I borrowed a mates camera for the night and I'm glad I did, I got a lot more Nebulosity than I usually get with the GX1.
Thanks Greg.

Jo, that lens has little distortion so astrometry.net solved the image in a couple of seconds. Seriously downsampled.
