Full moon but still in the right part of the sky. Decent seeing but most importantly the only clear night this week. Coming week-end doesn't look to hot...

Changed my RA worm and had to polar align again after my trip back from the house so might as well snap something bright while testing. :)

Hi Marc,

An excellent monochrome photo.

Sharp and so much detail.

Again, I love the tones.

Ross.

nice work Marc,
can you fire over some of that good weather you've been having? - i can't remember what a star looks like ...

Thanks Ross. Turned out alright.

Thanks mate. Good weather? You gotta say it quick. It's raining and windy right now and it wasn't much better yesterday but there was a small window last night to squeeze in.

Great image Marc. Which replacement worm did you go for?

That very nice Marc, good to see you can still get more than decent images on a full moon!

Thanks a lot John.

Thanks Carlos. You can still get decent results in Ha provided the full moon is far enough. Too close and you will have stary light, possibly reflections and gradients as a result. Phases are not an issue because the light is to faint to affect your pics. Obviously no moon and dark skies will boost your contrast. That's true for NB too.

Nice contrast Marc. Composition is nice too. I have been using m17 for automation testing imaging for the last couple of weeks to iron out any bugs. Your filter being narrower produces much nicer contrast than I have been getting. That is about to change though with a 5nm on the way. I also like the smoothness of your image here too. Would love to see this in an RGB or narrowband image.

Thanks Paul. Yeah this one is a very nice object in narrowband. I find it a difficult customer in color. Actually one of the best color shot I've seen on it was yours posted here a couple of months ago.

nebulosity.

Thankd David. I'm surprised you haven't hammered that one with your newt yet. That's a perfect FOV for it.
