Hi,

I've been playing with stereo images- where you view cross-eyed to see the image in 3D. These are combinations of multiple photos, each at slightly different focus, stacked in Zerene Stacker software.

The wing is a 2mm portion of a small (~ 1cm) moth wing: 39 images, 10x on sensor, 10x microscope objective on Canon 100mm/f2.8L with 2x extender. The pepper corn is about 6mm wide: 90 images, 4.2x, Canon MPE-65. The ammonites are about 2cm accross in total: 30 images, 1x, Canon 100/f2.8L.

I've also done them as rocking .gifs but the file sizes are too large to upload. More a novelty than anything but still interesting I think.

That is really cool Geoff, love the ripple effect in the month wing, its something I didn't notice until I crossed my eyes. Very interesting shots!

Thanks AstroJason. Yeah I didn't notice the ripple either until the stereo :) Macro often surprises me like that.

Here's one more of a (rather dusty) fly.

Wow, very eye-catching stuff there.:eyepop:
I found myself looking at them over and over.

Nice work.
