Another shot from this morning. Quite pleased with this one. The morning was very grey but there were pockets of bright sunlight peeking through giving tricky lighting conditions.

Brave is one word. There must be half a dozen rock fishermen drowned down here every year. They get caught by 'freak' waves - except there is nothing freaky about them. Every so often, though rarely, two waves will arrive at the rock platform at the same time resulting in a bigger wave and wash-over.

It looks a lot more dramatic than it really is. Mona Vale beach is pretty flat-just timed the shot with a decent wave in the foreground and shot low.
