Hi.
I had both scopes set up last night.
The SWED80 with EQ5 manual out the back for transits and the 8" Newt on the NEQ6PRO with the ASI120MM out the front for Venus and the Moon.
I was keen to give Venus a go for the first time after seeing some wonderful images here on IIS.
I was happy with how Venus turned out. Not really knowing what to expect, i saw Venus "flickering like a candle" is about how i could describe it.
Not sure if it was from the seeing, tube currents or collimation or a combo.
It seemed to stack ok.
I then turned to the Tycho region and saw that was very wavy. Although that seemed to stack ok as well.
Venus- approx 3000 frames
Moon- approx 1000 frames
Transit- single image shot on continuous. I was a bit late on the trigger this time and just caught the tail.
Thanks for looking,
Steve.

Thanks :) Little did i know at the time, this telescope would be sold the next afternoon. So it turns out, these images are the last ever from that scope:sadeyes:

Thank you:thumbsup:

Thanks :)Me too. This was my best result i think. I could see detail in the Clavius basin i had never seen before from my images :)

Cheers Eric:)
