Hi,
Having fun imaging last night even though I lost about 20 images because I added the williams Optic focuser and forgot to rebalance the mount and was getting the stars with the skinny line through it....stupid me...was too excited to think well thats my excuse.....hehehe

Taken from my House Brisbane

20 x 4 minute autoguided exposure's at ISO800 canon 350D Modded
10" Lx200R F10 fl 2500mm

Hutech LPR filter used.

Calibrated in Imagesplus and touched up in PhotoshopCS2.

Flats were applied this time.

I am liking what I am seeing with this scope even though I have to take much longer exposures at F10.

I have attached a flat field shot....looks flat to me.

High Rez warning 1.2mb

That's a very good image, very well guided, great focus.

Hope you don't mind, but I could see a lot more detail in the image which I highlighted in the attached version on your image.

I dont mind at all Paul,

Yours does look a bit over done to me and mine looks a bit under done.....somewhere between would be nice.

That is one sweet image Tony - champion stuff; you're making this look easy.

Well done.

Cheers

Very detailed pic, the stars are quite sharp. How do you focus the camera, with DSLR focus?
The flat field is very flat too, no sign of vignetting, in fact its almost not needed by the look of it, un flatfielded images would still be quite flat.

Breathtaking really... if Hubbles camera goes down they will be on the phone after your images.

Yes DSLR Focus...I use it for my focusing and control off all my exposures.

Going to have a go at this target in mapped colour this week...bit of a project of mind....lots of work though.....the DSLR Focus program will come into it's own with the HA,OIII & SII filters...otherwise I would have buckleys focusing with these filters.

Thanks.
Will be interesting to see what it comes out like with a SII filter.
