Geeday everyone

I'm pretty happy with this shot, it could be the most colourful image I've achieved so far. I managed to frame it really well (thanks to STAR Atlas PRO).

The image is of an area of the sky which is right next door to the Lagoon Nebula and shows a dozen or more colorful deep sky objects - the brightest ones I have labelled in one of the accompanying images. The are a few nebula, a planetary nebula, and many dark nebula which I haven't necessarily labelled.

I wish you would stop putting these up they send me into a frenzy to get an equatorial mount for the 12 inch and try and follow your magnificent work, and my mount building is not going anywheres at the moment.
Fabulous, even I appreciate the colour and that has to be some sort of compliment coming from a colour "challenged" individual. You have every right to be very pleased with that.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments,

For me, it's all about seeing what's out there and then being able to show the images to other people who are not necessarily interested in astronomy. So it's fantastic to be able to show the image on IIS (thanks Iceman) and have so many of you take interest in the image.

Excellent pic there, really brings out the nebulosity, the colour differences are really striking. Gee last night was good want it, the sky dark and seeing very steady.
