On 14th August this year, Japanese astronomer Koichi Itagaki discovered a nova in our Galaxy in Delphinus. On the 16th August the star reached its brightest, being visible to the naked eye in an unpolluted sky. Here is a comparison pic of Nova Delphini 2013 of images taken from Brisbane, Australia on 16th August and 10th September 2013. Note that the nova has turned a pinkish colour as it fades.
