Gso rc6

Hi,

Selling my GSO RC6 OTA that I bought off a member here a few months ago.
Its in good condition and comes with two spacer rings for the focuser.
I do have a GSO diagonal that I will be selling separately.
The OTA if fitted with a mounting plate for a Telrad

I haven't had the chance to use it yet and can't justify two scopes so this one needs to go.
RAG finder is not included. Just the OTA and dustcap with the two focuser rings.
Asking $220 which is less than half of a new one.

Prefer pickup as I don't have a box for it.
Attached image was taken with it by the previous owner with a 40D.

edit: not sure why the pics are rotated. originals aren't.

I would guess Windows/OSX picks up the orientation from the EXIF data and rotates it. IIS doesn't.

Do you need a corrector with this scope? Is that field uncropped?

pretty sure it is uncropped. the original dimensions of the image are 3888x2592 which is the size of the 40d frame.
I don't think he used a flattener.
I'll try and take a quick image with my qhy8 when it clears if you want, but looking at images taken with this scope on astrobin, most don't specify a flattener being used.
