Here's another 3 panels of 20x10min with a QHY9 Baader 7nm and a SMC Pentax - M 100mm stopped two down. Did one panel each night over a period of 3 nights.

There's a full frame here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/scorpius_ha_100mm_fff.jpg)[3.7MB]
a HD version here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/scorpius_ha_100mm_HD.jpg)[2MB]

and a plate solve here (http://www.astropic.net/astro/scorpius_ha_100mm_HD_T.jpg).

The highres is pretty cool and detailed enough to have a browse around. :)
Thanks again for looking.

Love it Marc.
Just wondering - have you ever thought about experimenting with circular filter adaptors off eBay to do the stopping down, rather than using the iris blades (and theoretically avoid spikes on bright stars)? (Something I've never got around to playing with)

I like the spikes!

I really like that plate solve. How did you do that?

Thanks Peter. Sometime all that is needed is good seeing and a break in the clouds.

Thanks a lot Rick.

Thanks Peter. Yeah they stick out nicely along with the wolf.

Thanks Larry.

Thanks mate.

Thanks a lot Rolf. Glad you like it.

:fight: :)

Thanks Rob. No I haven't yet but I intend to. I suspect the main improvement will be to let more light in the aperture rather than restricting the iris. TBH I don't mind the diffraction spikes.

Thanks John. I used a program called Unimap (http://larryo.org/astronomy/software/unimap/). Solved the field, set up the color overlay and grid then inverted the picture for clarity. There are other platesolves (https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=6930D3AD12D5044C&id=6930D3AD12D5044C%21863#cid=6930D 3AD12D5044C&id=6930D3AD12D5044C%21933) I did here over the years. Great little utility.

Yikes. Maybe I'm turning into a refractor guy after all if I'm commenting on diffraction spikes! :eyepop:

 Hardcore TAKman! :P

Thanks Justin. Yeah it yields a fair bit of details. Seeing was excellent. Great conditions for imaging all round. Dry and no wind. :)

Thanks Jase. No worries. Great little program. It does a heap lot more.

Thanks David. Awesome seeing helped.

Thanks a lot Ross. Hardly any processing. Didn't even deconv. When conditions are just right all you need to do is stack.
