heh it's been suggested before, to have a night vision theme :)
But I think the best way is just get a ND or red gel filter and put it over your screen :)

I think that you can also create your own night vision theme under Windows XP? I saved The Sky 6 night vision mode as a Theme, and I can apply it by right clicking on the desktop, selecting Properties and applying the Theme.

Hmmm, guess how I learned about this? ;) Just passing on a tip someone once passed on to me.
However, having just checked the effect on my desktop - it kinda failed! The windows tool bars, menu, status bar, etc all followed the Night Vision theme, but the entire body of Ice In Space remained unchanged so as per Mike's original suggestion, a red or ND filter will be required.
Oh well, just learned something else new today.

Unfortunately on my version of XP, it doesn't make everything NV mode.
The title bar on program windows, menu items tend to stay the same
anyone know how to fix this? it would be darn handy as sometimes
it's nice to have the PC out with me (running The Sky v5) to use
as a comprehensive star chart. UM2000.0 is just too expensive to
have out at the scope :( as good as it is
