Lake Oberon take 2

It has taken me 4 months to return to Lake Oberon in favourable conditions, but finally I have some shots that I am happy with!

The first looks maybe a tad overprocess/overlightened, and the second one needs more light in the foreground - it's turned out all purple-ish.

Yeah the second definitely needs more foreground work, not to mention the removal of my camera bag from the right foreground, haha!

Due to feedback, here is a new version of the #2 shot.

That looks better.

The distortion above the MW can be reduced by a Panorama Head like Nodal Ninja 4 or by having a bit more headroom above it and trying various projection methods for the Panorama. I think its transverse mercator that gives the least distortion in that spot.

I will reprocess the pano at some point to remove the distortion, believe me, it bugs me no end.

Yes, I do try to shoot extra headroom these days, that just didn't work out this time. I do definitely need a panorama head as then I could work out the angles properly for the second row of images, at the moment it is a bit of a guess :lol:
