Wanting to take basic photo/video from a Dob

Hi All,

I am wanting to take a few basic stills or video now and then from my 12" Goto Dob of the moon or maybe planets etc. I am not getting into astrophotography at all or expecting great results, but just want to maybe use my Canon G7 to take some shots

Will this setup work for me or am I wasting my money and time

yes, it'll work but so will this

and you don't need to spend extra cash on a eyepiece you probably already own.

One of the best moon photos I ever took was just by holding the digi camera in front of the eyepiece by hand and clicking away
