SPX350 F4.5, ST10XME, Astrodon filters, SII5nm Ha5nm OIII3nm.
M17 must be one of the best nebs in Sag with its high dynamic range, I keep meaning to take a look at it through an eyepiece but never get round to it. It has lots of SII and OIII with mountains of gas.
The luminance was an Ha SII blend with Hubble mapped RGB.
The ST10 lifts up those faint levels very well, I am glad I got this CCD rather than the popular 8300 as I valued the sensitivity (especially narrowband) over size and the ST10 seems big enough, the Swan fits on reasonably well and most other objects seem to fit. I am now loving this CCD.
Ha+SII-12x10min
OIII-18x5m.
Thanks, John.
Loving it you are, John! Great image. Enjoyed the colour palette on display, it suits this target. The individual emission lines show through well with the OIII interlacing SII giving an almost 3d feel. Thanks for sharing.

Most excellent John much 3d detail. As I found, despite it's age, the ST10s QE is still second to none for the price, a Cracker for NB.

You've made it look like the Swan and Hubble palette were made for each other, John. Just lovely!

Just gorgeous. The orange colouration just is perfect for this one. Incredibly 3 dimensional feel.

Hi John,
It is really splendid image and great shot. Congratulation for the processing and this result. I like so much this one.

Very interesting look to a familiar target  You've got quite the narrowband photon sucking set up there - phenomenal depth for such a short imaging time.
Very nice John. Narrow band is great!

Nice John, I like the colour palette you have been using of late. It really works for me. The 3D effect is easily seen and gives a nice transparent look to the whole object.

Thanks everyone, the SII came out so well adding it to the Ha for luminance made the 3D look. The orange and cyan look works well with Hubble palette usually. With narrowband you don't need flat frames, I am getting to grips with calibration which is not easy for a newcomer as my 314L+ needed no calibration.
Thanks, John.

Very nice blend and processing. The separation between channels in the outer filaments is very clear not unlike Vela Ha/Oiii SNR shots. Top shelf.
