Excellent write up - thanks!... and what an attractive looking ‘scope.:)
Reading the review has made me want to dig out my WO 80mm F7 Megrez II which has been languishing in its OEM backpack, just to get reacquainted with the ease of set up, use and gorgeous views.
Cheers

There has been a lot of discussion about the new William Optics GTF81 scopes. Specifically that due to a lens misplacement during manufacture most are plate solving at a higher focal length. Typically it's not much (about f/6.7 vs. the advised f/5.9) however it is worth noting.
I have the William Optics ZenithStar 71 (2013 model) and am happy with it. Following the advice about the bad alignments I checked my own and was happy to see no such discrepancy exists there.
The easiest way to check is to post an unedited image straight from the camera/scope to Astrometry.net

Thank you for the review, that is very good in details with photos
I was unsure about this scope before reading the review thinking about the Tak but compared the price and quality I decided to buy the WO.
Thank you for the review.
