Well after 2 weeks of an epic battle with some astrofest data I finally have a Corona Australis shot from my telescope. I captured the shots at astrofest and my camera piggybacking on the scope produced the widefield. When processing the widefields turned out fine first go, and the telescope data was absolute garbage.
I'm not sure what I did wrong but after re-doing darks and bias frames with the camera in the fridge so I can get it to -20 in the current Brisbane "winter" heat, I finally have something. Still got some striations though and I can only conclude there was a problem during the capture.
Anyway:
3hrs 20min worth of data. 5min subs
Taken on QHY10 with a C8 at f/6.3
Widefield taken with a Nikon D800 and 200mm @ f/3.5

The widefield is very nice and there's some good detail in the narrow version, Chris. It was worth the effort!

Even better it was a beer fridge though my girlfriend did look at me oddly when I removed the beer and replaced it with something about the size of a beer can with a USB cable coming out of it :)
Thanks all for the compliments.
Great work Chris. That widefield image in particular has the 3D effect starting to come to life, which is easier said than done in this area. Colours very nice too.

Wow, congratulations, given the issues you dealt with the result is excellent, heck it doesn't even look like you had any issues really  a solid Corona Australis image that

Thanks again all.
I find it strange talking to people, it seems widefields of Corona Australis are much more popular than some of the closeups of the NGC6729. Strange because this is such a rich area of sky to get into.

Some deep detail in the scope shot. Love it.

Both nice shots Chris; nice colours in the wide field and good detail in the scope as Lewis mentioned. Perhaps a little more stretching to bring out the faint reds in the scope would give it some of the depth showing in the wide field, but very nice nevertheless.
