Hi all,

Paddy's River Falls

Located in the western foothills of the Snowy Mountains, Paddy's River Falls have a height of about 20 meters. I had previously done some night photos here a year and a half ago and it had been on my list of sites to revisit. Recent heavy rain and melt from the snow fields meant that the water was thundering over the escarpment when I spent the night there last night, hearing the constant roar of the falls and feeling the ground shaking slightly beneath me whilst watching the stars drift slowly through the sky.

Beautiful work as always Greg.

Is that a bit of air grow below the milky way. I was out in county Vic and noticed a few shots has a bit of green in the west below the horizon. That was the impression on the camera LCD yet to have a look on te PC monitor

Wow, just stunning. Superb composition and I like that V shaped valley look at the Milky Way. It really focuses your attention on it.

Thank you so much for all the great feedback everyone. I really appreciate it. :D

No actually Phil. There is a well defined path down to and behind the falls so I didn't get wet at all. My biggest concern was light spray coming off the falls and onto my lens, but what little wind there was was thankfully taking it away from me.

It certainly is a bit of green airglow there Matt.
