Hi all. Nova Del 2013 tonight (13:04, 30 Aug 2013 UT), spectrum taken with Star Analyser diffraction grating & Canon 650D @ 200mm on Vixen Polarie.

This is a quick-n-dirty, too tired to do the hard yards tonight, but the Balmer emission lines are showing up really well, as well as heaps of others. Only managed four usable subs before cloud moved in. Weather has been shocking here for weeks & weeks but looks like we're just entering a fine spell, fingers crossed....

There are a couple of fine whitish lines to the left of the bright red H-alpha emission that are dim stars that got mixed up with the spectrum.

Good to see we are still collecting data.
I'm in Scotland at the moment and brought the camera and RO200 with me....it's been cloud and rain since we arrived.....bumma.

I was busy last night with work so couldn't image. Tonight hopefully I will be able to get another spectrum. It has very strong hydrogen emission now so should be an easy target for the star analyser.

Here's my effort from tonight with my SA100. The continuum is really too faint for me to get any detail with the dob now, it's pretty much just noise apart from the Ha and Hb lines. Made a visual estimate of mag 6.8.
