The dates for IISAC2014 are:
Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights, 24th-26th April 2014, at Lostock as usual.
New Moon is on the 29th April, so there'll be a very thin moon rising on the 26th April, but not until 3am and it'll look spectacular as it rises next to Venus.
Also great news, is that it's in School Holidays for NSW (Term 2 starts on the 28th April, 1 day after the camp ), and Easter is on the 20th April so you can get your public holidays out of the way on the 18th and 21st April.
ANZAC Day is on the 25th April, the Friday we'll be at camp. That might work out better for some people, less annual leave to have to take! Take the whole week off and only have to use 3 A/L days !
Start planning your trip!

Nice and close for me. Where is the camping at Lostock, is this being held at the dam campground? And is this a (well behaved) pet friendly sight?

Hi Glen
It's at the Lostock Scout Camp, about 5km further up the road from the Dam.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed at the star party (even well behaved ones). We had to simply make a blanket rule.

I plan on going to NEAF next year and it's on the weekend before IISAC so that's good timing.

Are you going to try and get it catered this year Mike, or is it the same story as last year? I remember you were a bit disappointed with how spread out the event had become without the evening meal to bring everyone together.

It's unlikely I'll be able to get it catered. It will likely be the same as last year.
Disappointing but unfortunately not much I can do about it.
I'm going to get stuck into getting the page ready, order form ready etc next week - so watch this space.
If anyone wants to volunteer for a talk or workshop, please PM me.
