Hello,
two shots of the Helix, couldnt get very long exposures so this is as good as I could get it.
Thankfully, autoguiding equipement is on its way...
cheers

Looks good for short exposures, maybe a few more to brighten the helix a bit more?.

Thanks
yes I agree would need several more. But I'm hoping that some equipment arrive this or next week to help me onto the next stage of autoguidingwhich shoul dallow longer exposures.
I was surprised at the size of the Helix too.
It's a nice big one!

Good pics there. even if you cant take longer exposures, try taking more of them and stacking, as its the total exposure that counts not so much the length of each individual shot :)

What Guiding equipment are you getting....if you have mentioned it before I missed it.

Thanks guys,
I'll just be starting off with a ToUcam and a cheap 80mm
ill probably try out guidedog for software.
i was toying with the idea of setting up autoguiding off axis but i think i'll go the tried and true first.

anything will be better than nothing at think at this point.

I agree i need to get more shots too, starting to get the hang of registax too so that'll help
