Hi All,
We did the astro-tour in July visiting Parkes, Siding Spring Observatory and ATCA in Narrabri.
I spent four days at ATCA filming for CSIRO's 25th anniversary of ATCA. 1.5 nights were clear and with three cameras I had enough footage for a 2-minute film.

I attached a few images as well.It was a great to visit the observatories and I still have some unprocessed footage from SSO.
There is an open day at ATCA September 1st and I can't recommend it highly enough - it is great to see the dishes move in unison night or day. Here is more info:

Cheers,
Alex

Really good. I have only ever been there once, during the day on our way from QLD to IISAC2013. While it was nice, it would be great to visit at night.
Although I almost feel I've been there now.
Excellent work, my daughter will love it!

Great pics and timelapse Alex. Nice touch with the roos at the end. These things look like straight out of a starwars movie. What's the bright yellowish spot in the center of the antennas, some glow of some sort.

Thanks, Marc. I think these must be LEDs in the receivers.
