Why was the "He is all around" thread closed?

We have a situation that a moderator acknowledges that individuals have behaved reasonably well in this thread....... and then promptly closes the thread.

It seems to me that one particular individual with an agenda has been able to sabotage the thread for those wishing to read or participate in.
