Just spotted these on Astromart

http://www.astromart.com/classifieds/details.asp?classified_id=436668

Any advice from the "imaging gang" whether each or both would be useful to me for planetary imaging with my 9.25 and ToUcam???

I also have a 2x Ultima Barlow and 2.5x Powermate.

Thanks guys:thumbsup:

Matt, I use one of these (http://www.opticsplanet.net/meade-tele-extender.html#). It can be used as just an extension tube or for either negative projection and extension tube with a barlow, or positive projection with an eyepiece. The only thing is you need a differenct adapter than the 1.25 standard that is normally used. You need the other one here, the ToUcam "T" thread adapter (http://www.telescopes-astronomy.com.au/toucam_philips.htm)(below the standard one just down the page.)

You can get cheaper no name ones around the place though bintel have the meade for $74 (less 10% for the new shop special, if you get in quick)

I think you already know an extension tube & the 2.5X don't mix, so the extension tube(s) will only work with the 2X.

Got a diagonal? that will turn the 2X into a 3X...Not sure what it would do with a 2.5X.

I use a 75mm extension tube with 2X barlow in crook seeing, 2 / 75mm tubes in the 2X barlow in average seeing & I'll throw the diagonal in with either 1 or 2 tubes, depending on the seeing.
