This was taken in alt/az mode with NO Guiding it is amazing the detail you can get from 25sec subs.

I have just started to use Startools for processing I am impressed with it so far.

Swan Nebula M17 (Omega Nebula)
500 x 25sec subs at iso 1600
12" Meade LX200 (alt/az setup with No guiding)
Sony Nex-3 DSLR Camera
Processed with DSS,Startools,Gimp

nice one Wayne. 500 subs - wow! My pc was would have no chance of stacking that many subs in one go.

WOW !, It’s a very nice result.:thumbsup:

Some brighter stars have N-W tail, I think is because of Alt-Az.
Maybe you can go through all (500) frames, find those most affected and restack the lot without them.:question:
