Newbie Question Astromaster

Hey guys, bought myself this a awhile ago and its never been used, I always stored it well however am I missing anything? Ive attached a picture of it and im scratching my head wondering if i am missing something so please let me know :) Oh the cd's and booklet are here so besides that :p

Also, being in Australia, what would be a fair price to ask if I wanted to sell?

Still in between choices at the moment since we got a few lovely events happening in the sky soon but who knows, lets hear what the experts think :)

That looks like a celestron astromaster - either 114 or 130 mm primary mirror. A little unusual because most astromaster scopes are black colour. The white would make it easier to find at a dark viewing site.

I dont see the rod for holding the counter weights - it is a metal rod about 40 cm long and half cm diameter, used to hold the weights to balance the tube. It may be at the top of the assembly, but it is not clear in that picture. Everything else looks like it is in the picture.

The 130 can be bought new for about $400, so private sale (without warranty and without original packaging) would be less than that. The 114 would be less again. eBay often has similar items listed for under $100.

That is a good beginner scope, although the finder that comes with it is a little hard to use. It should give reasonable views of some of the brighter clusters and nebula, even better for the moon and Saturn or Jupiter. Probably not suitable for fainter objects such as galaxies.
