Finally processed this, the camera rotated somehow between imaging sessions forcing me to crop the image a bit more than I wanted.
Taken with 18" Newt. and qhy9
10 min subs L 90 mins R90 mins G40min B80min
Sorry low res only.

What make is your 18" newt? What mount do you use?

thanks Rick and Lee, the mount is homemade fork using dob driver and argo . the scope uses galaxy optics and a carbon fibre truss setup with moonlight focuser.

Nice work Ken. Its quite a small object so your 18 has gotten all close and personal with it and showing a lot of detail.

Do you have an O111 filter? Those shock waves show up nicely in O111.

Very good. The outer shell is clearly visible. My version does not show it so well, now I have to fix it.....

Thanks Laurie and Greg I should have been using my 7 position wheel with the o3 filter, just have to do it again.

That looks wonderful, great colour and details and you got the faint outer shell as well. Nice work - and it sure sounds like an interesting scope as well! :thumbsup:
