G,day cobbers,
I,ve got clear skies, a 300mm Dob cooling down and a bottle of port. I'll let you know how I went ;)

Agreed - tonight is looking great. I'm just starting the LX200 running some scripts then off to an ASWA viewing night in Parkerville. It'll be interesting to see how many members brave the low temp's to rock up.

Just went out to align the finderscope. Looks like Jupiters got 5 moons tonight :P
turned down darkskies and a bottle of port myself tonight as i am feling a bit off colour :(

Seeing here is very cloudy. Had the scope cooled to 1/2 degree below ambient for nothing.

can't see an iota becAUSE LIGHT POLLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!
LONG TIME NO SEE and i mean it, literally.
My little telescope and Iis tired of looking at the moon. Got to use my ticket and go look in the big periscope soon at Nepean astronomy centre.
Though the light pollution is pretty serious there as well. Thank good for nansa and literature
Be back in another two to three months of any interesting occur

You're right, we noticed that too - looked quite good actually, thought it should have 5 all the time :)
It was a good night all up. I ended up with a full night of data from the ST7 on the LX (about 5 objects, varying exposure times) and 4 hours of DLSR data from the portable setup. Yet to process any of it. I'm currently struggling with IRIS to try and de-rotate my DSLR shots seeing as RegiStax rotate seems so incapable of working.
