The Swiss Alps

These are a select choice of images I took of the Swiss Alps recently.

These are the famous 3 - The Eiger, The Monch and Jungfrau. They tower up out of the already high valleys and mountains to approx 4,000 metres.

Makes me homesick!
I've been sking down that glacier a few times, these are the memories.

I lived in Interlaken before I came to Oz, intending to stay 2 years, that was 45 years ago.

Amazing scenery! Great captures.

Where are the nightscapes? Those mountains would make a magnificent foreground!

An amazingly beautiful part of the planet. I have been to many of the great scenery locations and this was by far the most spectacular.



I did take a couple, a bit glarey. I took about 4 to stack perhaps that may give me an additional element of processing power. It was kind of good timing as it was Swiss National Day and there were fireworks at night and the view from balcony was actually one of these posted images - pretty amazing, lousy room but great view!

A bouncy verandah with neighbours walking on it during some shots made it harder.
