I was mucking around trying to get a wide field of Andromeda (inspired by Ross G (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=108574)) - I haven't given up yet!

oopsie, I pointed a bit high and got NGC0598 (I think) and a meteor (I think)
(no comments about my night sky locating abilities! I didn't even know NGC0598 was there)
Picked up a meteor as well - Well I think It's a meteor owing to it's colour?

Nikon D800, 85mm, F1.8, 30 seconds, ISO1600 - Single shot.
(I went a bit over the top with the diffraction spikes....)

Very nice. Maybe the diffraction spikes are a little bit much... looks like a Christmas card!

Yes, it's NGC598/M33/Triangulum galaxy, and part of Pisces.
As an SCT and refractor person I prefer the spikeless version.
