I didn't post the full frame before as I cropped the main galaxies out and did further work on them alone (a bit of a no no really I guess  ) anyway, I went back and processed the full 38' X 31' frame, so here it is - uncropped, no darks, no flats and (almost) no noise reduction ;)
There are two other major galaxies (both < 2' in size each) in the frame and countless other faint distant ones  Although the face on spiral IC 4845, top right, is listed at just 1.9' X 1.6' it appears to have very faint fine spiral arms that look to extend beyond that?

Beautiful photo Mike.
I like the wide version better, so much interesting detail around the main galaxies.

An inspiring image! The background is very smooth, even without darks.

Holy maloly! Almost hypnotic Mike. You've captured some very faint detail in the outer arms there. The full frame is fantastic. Top shelf again :thumbsup:

Yeh, maybe but in the end they are the same image, this full frame just takes in more so you have to zoom around to frame it as you please
Cheers Greg, it's my favourite image with the new kit so far :)
Cheers Luiz
I like my FLI too as it is a HUGE chip so lets me fit lots in with the AG12 but yes, this Starlightexpress camera is a gem:thumbsup:...with the off axis guide system and Loadstar it is so good and has made my imaging and processing soooo easy, I LOVE IT :2thumbs:
Yes and that galaxy is less than 2' in size too, so glad you like it Darrell, galaxy fields rule
Yes Pete, that's the full field (complete with uncropped dithered edges :P) on the 1120mm FL AG12 = 38' X 31' Good choice on the new camera too, I am sure you will love it, the 8300 chip has been popular for a while but these Sony chips are fantastic
Thanks Pete...would'a been nice to have her setup next to you and Rick at AF, my skies are pretty good here but to have her under truly dark skies with such a clean smooth chip camera would be fantastic...one day
