I had major withdrawal symptoms. It was like being locked in a dark room with no windows... :P

Not good, I now have RSI from clicking the refresh button non-stop for the last 8 hours!
Lol .... like ... like .... like to the replies :)
I have been quiet on IIS of late, we go through our stages, but this last week I had been on quite a bit, so yep, did miss it too ;)

Agree guys .... I was lost without my usual IIS fix in the wee hour of the morning.
Glad we're all back online :)

I was uploading Astrofest photos when it went down.
I felt so guilty, it was like I had broken it. :(

I had no real bother
I checked around 6:00 AM and it wasn't working
I have spent 9 hours rectifying some errors in the stellarium user guide. checked about every hour
and have just tried again and there it is.
Barry
PS hotmail has been out for about the same period too.

After the initial bout of rising panic and terror had subsided, I had a blinding insight; I was born before the PC was invented and lived many happy, eventful and fulfilling years before the advent of the internet, thus these adornments did not pre-date my existence. Therefore they are not necessary for my well-being and survival, nor do they validate who I am, whereupon a most amazing calm washed over me and I was totally at peace. Until I hit the refresh button then the panic returned.:);)
Cheers

There was a blackout? Glad it's back up.
What happened? Where am I? Did anyone get the number plate of the car
or a good look at the driver?
:lol::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
I was busy on the IIS fb page- some of you should've visited to help the withdrawal symptoms. :P
Had done a large write up there on the latest very bright Nova in our skies so that kept me busy & still in the IIS loop :).

I as usual thought it was my computer/server as I am on Satellite and subject too frequent slowness and cutouts.
It was only after checking with the Astrochicks Suzy and Jeanette that I was relieved.
Spent lots of time on the FB iceinspace page with info of the NOVA in Delphinus, so was still in touch with my iceinspace roots :D
Cheers:thumbsup:

I was distraught but soon developed a coping strategy.:drink::drink::drink:
Nah, spent the time looking a ultra-compact scope designs.
The therapy sessions helped. :P
It was great they had it fixed so quickly otherwise they might have had to establish an IIS Crisis Centre. :D
