This image is nothing to write home about but it's a first light for the STXL11002 36.8cm RC combination. I've had lots of problems over the last few months and it's good to see the back of most of them.
The image is a relatively short exposure of the M11 cluster in Scutum and was taken in reasonably poor seeing conditions which is about all you get here at the moment.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve
Well nothing sucks more than equipment problems, but If your over the hurdle with them that would feel good.
Ive always loved the Wild Duck cluster and especially at a longer focal length(unlike some people) nice work.

Good to see you're up and running again, Steve. Haven't seen anything from you for a while.

Thanks Rick. Pickings have certainly been slim recently. The northern hemisphere stuff seems to have dried up and then there's the weather. Autumn and Winter used to be good in Canberra. Not any more.
Thanks Louie

Nice work Steve. Good to see some images from you and that the gear problems are solved.
This pursuit is definitely part mechanic!
Greg.

That is an attractive image Steve - looks like everything is working well. Share your pain re seeing - it has been running at about 3-5 arcsec down here for most of the last month. Regards Ray

Thanks Ray. I think the problem with the seeing is a seemingly endless series of cold fonts this winter and although you often get clear skies between them the air is always turbulent.
