I have had this adaptor for the QHY to Canon EF mount for a fair while now, and only now got around to putting it all together (Thanks Ross G for the encouragement :))

I attempted this with my 350D last year and there's a huge difference with the CCD.

I used my 100mm macro lens for this one. I cropped most of the coma out from the corners, but I'm pretty happy with it :)

Almost 2 hours of 8 minute subs. on the HEQ5. I had to scrap 3 or so subs because of wind.

Feedback welcomed :) thanks for looking.

Hi Erik,

The photo looks great. A nice wide view.

I love the colours.

The 100mm lens is working well. The stars look good even at the edges.

Good luck.

Ross.

Thanks Guys :)

Thank you Ross, the stars do look pretty good considering I had the lens wide open. I just learned there is a way to lock the aperture on the lens whilst on the DSLR, and retain it whist on the CCD. Might try that to tighten up the stars a bit more.

:) glad to hear you're going to give it another go. It really does help to stop the lens down a bit.
You got some great colours in this shot.
