Very nice image John, I see that you are picking up some nice prominence detail as well. It's raining here and for the next couple of days so I'll be following your images with interest.

Thanks George. It's taken quite a lot of experimentation to get the proms with any sort of detail & brightness with the old chipped DMK, & not to mention the processing. I have the DMK618 coming shortly, then we'll see some decent prom action I hope ;-)

I think those prom are OK John. That large prom is showing four or five touch down points. Recon that is what the large filament will look like, I think, if it makes it to the limb.
I missed out today.

Lovely detail as always, John.

Thanks Ralph. I agree, nothing wrong with these proms at all considering the camera. I'm just saying I'll be rubbing the old cams nose in it (I hope!) when I get the heaps more sensitive, 618.

Thanks Laurie. Had to stack 50 rather than my standard 100 per pane to make up for the mainly rubbish seeing though.

A 2 panel mosaic @ 1.5X of the most 'prominent proms' from today - Pun intended:P

Shadows and highlights is thy friend John when it comes to Proms. I also capture with 1700 gamma too. If that helps.

Nice capture of the full disk though, of what is pretty much a blank sun at present. Waiting for some good spots and for the sky to clear out. Some nice seeing would be nice too. I note up your way the Jet stream is well south of you, at least you have that.
