How Geeked out is your desk. Does it contain the things you love. Is it the centre of your Island Universe? Is it purely utilitarian or is it a place to display the things you love and identify with. How would you classify your desk. Geek, Non Geek, Family, workstation, Bosses Sin Bin or Mad Hatter's Tea Party!! What other classifications might fit?

Mine Geek!

All the best

Paul

Definately "Family". We have one big L-shaped desk for computers, homework and stuff, that fills half the room.

WOW,the OP's is really geeky LOL,be interesting to see peoples' desks here,I'll post a few images of my desks later-one in house, one in observatory, and one in 'office' in shed-no wonder I cannot find anything,LOL

Here is a few images of the desk I made for my observatory-bit of a waste really,I rarely go in there and use it,I might bring it up stairs. Its made by me from New Guinea Rosewood,I milled the timber, and planed it to 25 mm thick-its all doweled and it weighs quite a bit, seven coats of satin finish on it.

I am currently making a cupboard in similar style, that I can put all my aluminium cases and camera bags in,I've got them all on the floor at present, and it looks like an Ansett check baggage check in terminal :(

My computer desks are much closer to one of those tables often pictured in the paper as used by hoarders.

But at least I can find items I am looking for 50% of the time. This often leads to words that I can't write here.

My desk is best described by this brief story. By the way, I could always find anything quite quickly:)

My subordinates left a framed message on my desk. It read like this: "A clean and tidy desk is the sign of a sick and twisted mind."

Cheers:)

I like that Marty.
I must be the total opposite of sick and twisted then which goes against everything I've been told until now.

Our desk is a mess, total chaos. I would be shamed to show a pic of it to be honest. That's kids for you though, everything they shouldn't touch or somehow manage to find and bring you goes up out of reach.

Love the desks so far! :)
I'd classify my desk as an Ansel Adams landscape:rolleyes:. The more you look at it
the more you fall in love with it and appreciate the stark, contrasty features........SWMBO thinks a little differently about it......
I therefore gave my pics the b/w high tone treatment ;)
Na just kidding, they looked bloody terrible straight off the camera fone.

Desk 1, 2 the inside mission control
Desk 3, dome control.

Somewhere in the mess of desk 1 is an X-lotto ticket with $50 winnings
on it...do you think I can bloody find it!

Please don't judge me by my desk....

Hi Jarrod,:)
You're not that brave? I see that Steve is.
I have spoken to psychologists at different times in my life. My Son has an Hons degree in the subject. They all agree with my earlier post, "A clean and tidy desk.... etc"

My desk is messy but its organised for me.

Cheers:)

I have one of the old original Aust Public Service desk.

So strongly made I had to dissasemble just to get it upstairs to the computer room.

It's now covered with computer, laptop, bits of paper and cats. :D
