It was an early start on Day 5 of our Kimberley adventure. Waking at 3:30am to head on a short cruise down Fitzroy River. We disembarked and climbed up (in the dark) one of the escarpments of Geikie Gorge.
We finally reached the top and overlooking the West wall, waited for sunrise to light up the wall. While we were waiting, I turned around to capture the beautiful conjunction of Jupiter and Venus (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/jupiter-and-venus-conjunction-at-geikie-gorge/) , and turned the camera back horizontal to capture the colours of the dawn with the silhouette of the rock formation.

The image is a single exposure with the Canon 5D Mk 2 and 24-105mm lens @50mm, ISO1600, f/4.0, 1/6 s exposure.
Thanks for looking.
