MEADE DS16 ULTRA HEAVY DUTY EQUATORIAL DUAL AXIS MOTORISED EQUATORIAL MOUNT WITH PIER
Are you after an ultra heavy duty dual axis 240V motorised Equatorial mount that is really good quality, but do not want a GoTo, and do not want to spend a fortune.
I need to make space for four Carl Zeiss Jena telescopes that I have purchased in the last quarter, so some gear has to go as I simply cannot fit everything in.
The is a Dual Axis Motorised 240V with hand controller, it was Meade's #1 Equatorial mount back in the 1980's, and is in perfectly capable order and condition.
It was Meade's standard unit for their 16 inch Newtonian telescopes, and will handle anything up to a 16 inch size with ease.
This is the ultra heavy duty pier version, and features a 6 inch diameter steel pier, and three strong aluminium feet.
It is in superb condition for a 1990 dates unit - and has been kept indoors and has only been outside to use once in recent memory anyway.
It is kept indoors, and is simply sitting in the corner of my collection and not being used, and I need this space back to enable me to fit in my recent purchases.
