Hi all,
Here's my latest, taken over the last three nights.
M83 taken with Skywatcher ED80 and Sbig ST-7XME, piggybacked on a Meade LX200GPS.
LRGB (240, 30,30,30) processed with CCDStack and Photoshop.
Cheers

Beautiful colours, very well done.
Is there a reason for that size crop? Was there too much amp glow or trailing on the edges?
Would love to see a wider field version.

Beautiful shot Stuart, that is actually my favourite galaxy ATM. Very nice to see the colours, usually I can only see the faint spiral arms in b&w through the EP.

My goodness, and here I am in another thread wondering if the ED80 is the way to go ... problem solved. Great capture Stuart.

Hi Iceman,
Main reason for the crop is to get rid of the registration artifacts, the image is a result of a combination of shots over three nights, the FOV didn't quite match between nights.
I had to shrink the picture to get below the file size limits.
Remember the ST-7XME only has 765x510 resolution (this image is 710x430).
I've attached a native resolution image at higher comrpression.
Cheers
Stuart
