Terrible seeing & no doubt tube currents galore with the C11 as it was a spur of the moment decision to try & get it before it was 'eclipsed' by the house gutter :rolleyes:

Thanks guys. Luckily it's pretty easy to throw together a reasonable image with the latest technology. Can't beat 60FPS & an exposure of 1/500th sec. with zero gain ;)

very nice john what sorta details of venus can you get with the dbk camera? Im gunna try shooting venus when its a morning star as i dont have views of the western sky.

Thanks Ralph, it was easier to shoot it earlier rather than move the gutter lol.

Mark, you'll be lucky to get any detail what so ever mate. Some VERY subtle shadings in extremely nice seeing would be as good as it gets. I've only done this a few times myself. With a mono camera + the U VENUS filter you will get better shading/details.
