Hi all

Can someone please help me identify an object I have seen moving in the sky? No aliens here:) but possibly an undiscovered asteroid?

First, attached are 4 images each zipped. The time they were taken should be apparent from the name of each file.

The 4 images are of Haumea and were taken with the Hubble Space Telescope. The images were downloaded from http://archive.stsci.edu/hst/search.php

For the following measurements 0,0 is at top left. I see a faint dot moving in a straight line.

20100628 181128 ibg0b1mwq_flt 291,292
20100628 181311 ibg0b1mxq_flt 289,290
20100628 181637 ibg0b1mzq_flt 287,289

This looks real enough to me. I have two questions. The first is - what is the object I am seeing? The second is - what software or online tools can I use to identify a moving object such as this?

Hoping someone can help.

cheers Peter

There are a couple of suggestions in this thread (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=101693&highlight=Aladin) and this thread (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=109772&highlight=Aladin). I'm sure some of the others who do this regularly will chime in over the next day or so.
