I post these with some dismay as after the shots were taken the tripod fell over with the lense breaking in two and the 6D now only works in Manual and Bulb so I'm guessing the autofocus is shot.Still wondering if its worth the repair as I use manual settings most of the time.
Does anyone have any thought on repairs or who to use.
Cheers Derek
PS the pics were taken from my backyard which has been temporarily adulterated by megafestival lights.

Derek,

very sorry to hear about the Samyang - but you now have an excuse to save up for a Tokina 11-16mm f.2.8. Even though you're a manual user still worth while getting someone to have quick no obligations look at the 6D - might be a quick fix.

Regards,
Eric

Derek - ignore my recommendation for the Tokina - I forgot it's only for us still stuck in the smaller sensor world.

ouch.. sorry to hear that. but, 2 more reasons to get a tokina 11-16..

1. you can use the 16mm end on a full frame (i use it on my nikon D700. not sure if it's the same with canon)

2. the lens is more heavy duty. my friend's 11-16 fell from a tripod hitting the ground at more than a meter and survived. mine fell at the airport customs inspection table and survived as well. :)

The Tokina does work on a FF. It has slight vignetting at 15-16 mm. At 11mm there is so much get a circular image.
